With Rich Returns, you can also automate your Exchange Orders creation process. Let's learn how.
Head over to Configuration -> Exchanges -> Exchange Orders tab. There you will be able to see the Enable AutoExchange option.
Let's enable that option. We can see that we have two settings to configure:
Select order type: This indicates the type of order we're looking to automate this process for. We can select either Exchange Order or Draft Order.
Select Status: This indicates the status of a return in which we want this automation to trigger. Choosing a status, e.g. Approved, means that each time a return is in Approved status, the Exchange or Draft Order we selected above will be created automatically.
You can see my settings here, Exchange Order and Received Status. This means that: Each time my returns are in Received Status, an Exchange Order process will be triggered and that exchange will be created automatically.
Let's see this feature in action. For this purpose, I have actually recorded a quick GIF. Pretty amazing, huh? Not me creating a GIF but what our developers did with this. Automating stuff is brilliant.
