You'll be able to generate labels with ShipStation in a few minutes. Let's begin!

  1. Head over to the ShipStation website where you can sign up. If you already have an account, simply sign in here.

  2. Make sure that you have enough funds in your ShipStation account to generate labels. You can make changes to your ShipStation balance here.

  3. We have the funds. Now let's make some labels. To generate labels, let's add our carriers. You can do that here. You have two options:

    1. Go ahead with ShipStation's carriers.

    2. Connect your carrier account.

  4. We have the carrier. We need our API and Secret key to connect to Rich Returns. Let's do that here. Grab the keys and get them ready, we're going to need them in a second.

  5. Let's go over to Rich Returns.

From your dashboard, head over to Integrations (1) -> Carriers (2) -> Edit settings (3).

  6. Paste your API and Secret Key that you just collected from the ShipStation API section.

  7. Now that we have our integration set up, let's head over to the Configuration -> Prepaid Label section to configure our label settings. If you have multiple services, Edit the ShipStation one, as shown on the screenshot.

  8. A window will show up. From there, we need to set up our Carrier (1), Service (2) that we want to use, as well as Package dimensions (3) and Empty Box Weight (4).

Once we have that done, we're all set. Let's finalize this process with the final step.

  9. Final step but just as important: do not forget to enable the Pre-Paid Return Label (automatic). You can do that by going over to Configuration -> Returns -> Return Methods.

Turn the Pre-Paid Return Label (automatic) option by checking the box.

That's it! This ShipStation is now ready to travel. All aboard!
